Mantaro Kinniku is the spoiled and cowardly son of the legendary wrestler King Kinnikuman, and he has little interest in inheriting his father's responsibilities. When the brutal dMP attacks Earth and the old heroes can no longer stand against it, Mantaro is pushed into training under his father's former mentor, Meat.

Joined by a new generation of superhuman wrestlers, Mantaro enters bizarre matches where victory can determine the fate of entire cities. Beneath his laziness and fear lies genuine courage, but he must earn it in the ring while living under the enormous shadow of a champion.
