Qing Chi Hong Xiaodou Ba! Shiwu Shijie

Uneaten food does not simply disappear. It is sent to Food City, a hidden world where leftovers are cleaned, repaired, and prepared to return to the human world for another day of "work." Red Bean is used to being sent back again and again because nobody ever seems to eat him, yet he keeps doing his job without complaint.

That routine breaks when a human diner suffers food poisoning and the Food Inspection Bureau begins treating Red Bean as a suspect. Clearing his name means tracing what went wrong between Food City and the human table. The little bean that nobody wanted suddenly finds himself at the center of a case that may determine whether he ever gets another chance to return to a bowl.
