Doremi Harukaze's ordinary childhood changes when she discovers that Majorika is a real witch and, through a mishap, leaves her unable to return to normal without Doremi's help. Becoming a witch apprentice sounds exciting, but learning magic means exams, spells that go wrong, and responsibilities Doremi is rarely prepared to handle.

Hazuki Fujiwara and Aiko Senoo soon join her, and the three girls balance school, friendship, work at the Maho-do shop, and a growing understanding of the witch world.
