Shido Itsuka continues his strange mission of saving Spirits by making them fall in love with him and sealing their powers with a kiss, all while trying to preserve something resembling a normal school life. A new Spirit named Natsumi disrupts that balance by using her transformation ability to hide among the people closest to him.

An even greater crisis follows when Origami suffers a breakdown that sends her down a dangerous path connected to her past and the deaths of her parents. Attempts to repair what happened draw Shido into a temporal complication that changes his understanding of the Spirits and the city's history. This time, winning a date is not enough; he must stop people he cares about from becoming enemies to themselves.
