Haha wo Tazunete Sanzenri (Special)

Marco lives with his family in Genoa until poverty forces his mother, Anna, to travel to Argentina for work. When her letters suddenly stop arriving and no one can tell the family what happened to her, Marco refuses to remain at home wondering. He sets out across the ocean, determined to find her himself.

With his little monkey Amedeo as a companion, Marco crosses unfamiliar cities and vast stretches of countryside, repeatedly following leads that may already be out of date. Hunger, exhaustion, and disappointment test him at every stage, but the thought of his mother waiting somewhere far away keeps him moving forward.
