Kaitou Joker

Under the cover of night, the phantom thief Joker targets treasures no ordinary criminal would dare approach. Calling himself a miracle maker, he escapes Inspector Oniyama's traps with disguises, gadgets, illusions, and tricks that make it difficult to tell where science ends and magic begins.

During a contest over the Dragon Gem, Joker meets Hachi, an earnest but clumsy ninja who admires him far more than Joker would prefer. Hachi's persistence eventually earns him a place at Joker's side, and the pair begin chasing ever more spectacular treasures while competing with rival thieves and turning each heist into a performance.
