Ginga Tetsudou Monogatari

Across a railway network stretching between the stars, the Sirius Platoon answers calls that ordinary crews cannot handle. Its newest recruit, Manabu Yuuki, has chosen the same dangerous profession as his father and brother: protecting travelers with the Space Defense Force.

Rescues and pirate attacks soon test the distance between his ideals and his judgment. With experienced comrades beside him, Manabu must learn to keep others alive as a far greater threat approaches the railways.
