Shin Obake no Q-tarou

Shota Ohara's discovery in a bamboo grove is no ordinary egg. It hatches into Q-taro, a ghost whom the boy secretly shelters before persuading his family to let him stay. The two become close friends, though feeding their new lodger's enormous appetite is no small task.

Q-taro can fly and vanish, yet dogs still terrify him. His baby brother Ojiro, already skilled at changing shape, joins a neighborhood full of ghosts and children whose games and disagreements rarely stay quiet for long.
