Ranka Lee begins a new job at Frontier Software, a game company in modern Tokyo where her friend Nanase already works. Her first day is anything but quiet, especially after encounters with the company's glamorous president Sheryl Nome and Sheryl's formidable assistant Grace.

Familiar faces from Ranka's other life appear here as programmers, office workers, and corporate personalities, turning workplace routines into a parody of romance, rivalry, deadlines, and company politics. Ranka's challenge is no longer surviving space battles, but learning how to survive office life without losing her cheerful spirit.
