Rurouni Kenshin: Meiji Kenkaku Romantan - Ishinshishi e no Chinkonka

Years after the Meiji Restoration, Kenshin Himura encounters Shigure Takimi, a swordsman whose faith in the new age was shattered when comrades and loved ones died during the struggle that created it. Convinced that the government betrayed the ideals for which they fought, Shigure gathers fellow disillusioned warriors and prepares an uprising in Tokyo.

Kenshin understands the pain behind that anger, but he cannot allow another generation to be sacrificed to it. When Shigure learns that the peaceful wanderer before him was once Hitokiri Battousai, old bloodshed turns their disagreement into something deeply personal, forcing Kenshin to stop a rebellion without abandoning the vow that now guides his sword.
