Yuki no Joou

When young Kai is struck by a shard from a cursed mirror, his heart grows cold and the beautiful things around him begin to look ugly. The Snow Queen carries him away to her frozen palace, leaving his devoted friend Gerda determined to find him no matter how far she must travel.

Gerda crosses changing seasons and strange lands, meeting people and creatures who either delay or aid her journey. Her warmth and loyalty become the only forces capable of reaching Kai through the ice, turning the search into a test of whether love can restore what the Snow Queen has frozen.
