Macross II: Lovers Again

Eighty years after humanity and the Zentraedi found peace, the Marduk enter the Solar System and overwhelm Earth's defenses. Rookie reporter Hibiki Kanzaki sneaks close to the fighting and discovers Ishtar, an Emulator whose songs direct the Marduk soldiers and amplify their will to battle.

Hibiki brings Ishtar to Earth, where music, affection, and ordinary culture challenge everything she was taught. With ace pilot Silvie Gena, they must turn that awakening against the Marduk leader Ingues before his fleet destroys a civilization that has forgotten how vulnerable peace can be.
