Howl no Ugoku Shiro

Sophie Hatter lives quietly in a hat shop and expects little more from life until the wizard Howl rescues her from a dangerous encounter. That brief meeting draws the jealousy of the Witch of the Waste, who curses Sophie with the body of an elderly woman. Unable to explain the spell to anyone, Sophie leaves home to search for a way to break it.

Her journey leads to Howl's moving castle, where she strikes a bargain with the fire demon Calcifer and begins living with Howl and Markl. As Sophie discovers the vulnerable man behind Howl's mysterious reputation, a war between kingdoms expands around them. Saving herself and her new family requires confronting magic, violence, and the fear that keeps Howl running from himself.
