Mumei no Jinsei

A boy grows up without a clear name for the life waiting ahead of him, enduring bullying and loneliness while clinging to a dream inherited from his father: someday standing before people as an idol. Nicknames, stage names, and labels given by others change throughout his life, yet none easily answer who he actually wants to be.

Circumstance carries him from society’s margins toward a height he never planned to reach, confronting him with the darker side of entertainment, isolation, death, war, and aging along the way. From childhood to the end of his life, his story becomes one about the names society gives a person—and what remains when every one of those names finally falls away.
