On the asteroid Fólkvangr, the Vanadis Institute develops the GUND Format, a technology meant to let human bodies survive the demands of space through advanced prosthetics and mobile suits. Test pilot Elnora Samaya struggles to synchronize with the prototype Gundam Lfrith while her four-year-old daughter Ericht celebrates her birthday nearby.
