An old bamboo cutter discovers a tiny girl glowing inside a bamboo stalk and takes her home. She grows with impossible speed into the radiant Kaguya-hime, whose beauty soon attracts noble suitors from across the land.Uninterested in marrying them, Kaguya gives the men impossible tasks that expose greed, deceit, and desperation.
