Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kaku: Outbreak

In 1983, Hinamizawa is placed under armed quarantine after authorities identify a lethal infection within the village. Roads are sealed, communications fail, and terrified residents turn against outsiders and one another as rumors spread faster than reliable information.

Keiichi, Rena, Mion, Satoko, and Rika discover that soldiers and desperate villagers may be as dangerous as the disease itself. With their home collapsing into violence, the friends attempt to escape together while an unseen force uses the outbreak to settle older conflicts.
