Ai's Monday-morning meetings with the salaryman she befriended on the train have become a small routine that makes the crowded commute easier for both of them. Around the pair, other students, coworkers, and office workers move through quiet attractions, awkward tension, and moments when someone notices what another person cannot say aloud. Nothing here depends on grand events; the weight lies in a glance across a platform, a short message, or a familiar face appearing at exactly the right time. As the weeks continue, strangers become people others expect to see again, and Monday feels a little less heavy simply because someone is traveling the same road.
