Mitsumi Iwakura arrives in Tokyo from a small rural town with her future carefully planned: excel in school, enter a top university, and eventually do work that improves society. What she did not plan for was getting lost on her first morning and learning that city life refuses to follow schedules. Classmate Sousuke Shima helps her, a relaxed and sociable boy who seems able to move through any situation with ease. Mitsumi enters a classroom full of people very different from her, and her direct sincerity creates embarrassing moments just as often as it makes others feel comfortable. Through new friendships and first impressions that keep changing, she learns that success is not only reaching a destination, and that the people met along the way can reshape the plan itself.
