With the Class Cards recovered and Bazett temporarily calling off her pursuit, Illya finally has something resembling a normal summer vacation. Alongside Miyu and Kuro, she throws herself into beach trips, birthdays, festivals, and other long-awaited fun, even if magical-girl life keeps finding ways to disturb the peace.

The break cannot last forever. A mysterious eighth Class Card remains unresolved beneath Fuyuki, and recovering it leads Illya's group into a far more dangerous confrontation than they expected. As the enemy's connection to Miyu begins to surface, Illya must reach beyond the limits of her usual transformation to protect the friend she refuses to lose.
