Bai She: Yuanqi

White snake spirit Xiao Bai is sent to assassinate the Taoist adviser who is slaughtering snakes in pursuit of immortality. The mission fails, and a magical hairpin saves her life at the cost of her memories, leaving her unconscious near a village whose people hunt creatures like her.

Xu Xuan rescues Xiao Bai and travels with her to uncover her identity. Their growing love is threatened by Taoists, the Snake Mother, and Xiao Bai's sister Xiao Qing, while the forgotten mission draws humans and spirits toward a conflict neither side can escape.
