Hoshi no Samidare

Yuuhi Amamiya has little affection for the world, so he is unimpressed when a talking lizard announces that Yuuhi has become the Lizard Knight and must help save Earth. A mage named Animus plans to smash the planet with the enormous Biscuit Hammer hanging in space, and Beast Knights chosen by animal familiars are supposed to protect Princess Samidare Asahina from his golems.

Then Yuuhi meets Samidare and learns that she has no intention of saving the Earth. She wants to defeat Animus only so she can destroy the planet herself, before anyone else can claim it. Captivated by her impossible declaration, Yuuhi swears loyalty to her. As the other Beast Knights gather and battles grow deadlier, his devotion to destruction begins colliding with the bonds that finally give him reasons to care whether the world survives.
