The Legend of Heroes: Sen no Kiseki - Northern War

North Ambria never recovered from the Salt Pale disaster that turned people and buildings into salt and left the country impoverished. Its former military survives as the Northern Jaegers, a powerful mercenary force. Lavian "Lavi" Winslet joins them to protect her homeland and to distance herself from the reputation of her grandfather Vlad, once celebrated as a hero before being branded a traitor.

After repeated disciplinary trouble, Lavi is assigned to an unusual reconnaissance team with Martin, Iseria, and Talion. Their mission is to infiltrate the Erebonian Empire and investigate its celebrated "Imperial Hero," Rean Schwarzer, whom North Ambria fears may become a weapon against them. Crossing the border exposes Lavi to a political reality far more complicated than the story she inherited at home, just as war between the two nations draws closer.
