Senjou no Valkyria

The small nation of Gallia lies between two great powers fighting over the valuable resource known as ragnite. When the Empire invades, quiet towns become battlefields and Welkin Gunther and Alicia Melchiott are drawn into the militia defending their homeland.

Welkin is hardly a conventional commander; his love of nature and talent for observation lead him toward unusual strategies rather than brute force. His ideas guide Squad 7 against an enemy with greater numbers and equipment, while the war begins uncovering old secrets connected to the power of the Valkyria. Amid battles over territory and resources, the squad learns that Gallia's survival depends as much on trust between unlikely comrades as it does on weapons.
