Blue Giant

From the moment Dai Miyamoto truly hears jazz, he makes a decision: he will become the best jazz saxophonist in the world. He practices relentlessly despite having played for only a few years, then leaves Sendai for Tokyo, where confidence alone impresses nobody. He meets talented pianist Yukinori Sawabe, who initially dismisses Dai's enormous ambition until he hears the raw force in his playing. They are joined by Dai's friend Shunji Tamada, who begins learning drums almost from scratch, and the three form JASS. On small jazz stages around the city, they try to turn talent, practice, stubbornness, and sheer love of music into a sound strong enough to make audiences stop and listen.
