Synopsis

Hiroshi Umino wants a ship of his own and the freedom to choose where it takes him. An encounter with the forces of Afressia brings the stubborn boy into the orbit of Emeraldas, a solitary traveler whose vessel answers to no empire.

As her enemies use innocent lives to draw her into battle, Hiroshi begins to discover what independence demands. Beyond Earth, courage is measured by the choices made when escape would be easier.
