Kage no Jitsuryokusha ni Naritakute!

Since childhood, Cid Kagenou has never wanted to be the famous hero. He wants to be the mysterious power operating from the shadows, appearing only at the perfect moment. Reborn in a world of magic, he finally has the setting to build that identity for real. He creates Shadow Garden and invents a story about a secret Cult of Diablos simply to make the role more convincing. The problem is that the cult actually exists. His followers uncover genuine conspiracies and atrocities while Cid assumes they are merely playing along. He enters a very real war convinced he is performing the greatest role of his life, unaware that the world has taken his fantasy completely seriously.
