Yami's transformation into Darkness pushes her power beyond control and turns the people closest to her into obstacles she can no longer recognize. Mea, Nana, Momo, and the others refuse to abandon her, even as Nemesis continues manipulating the crisis for her own purposes.

Rito's attempt to reach Yami requires an absurd plan built around the one weakness their chaotic daily lives have taught him all too well. Behind the embarrassment, however, is a serious struggle to bring Yami back without destroying the person she has become. When the confrontation finally ends, the group is left to face what the incident changed between Yami, Mea, Nemesis, and the people who chose to stand beside them.
