Saihate no Paladin

Will grows up in the ruins of a dead city with three undead guardians as his only family: Blood, a skeletal warrior who teaches him combat; Gus, a ghostly sage who teaches him magic; and Mary, a mummified priestess who teaches him faith and compassion. They raise him with a love that makes their unnatural existence feel completely ordinary.

As adulthood approaches, Will must choose a deity and swear the oath that will define his path through life. Preparing to leave home also forces him to learn why his guardians are undead and what happened to the city around them. The truth leads Will into his first real battle and toward a promise of his own: to live meaningfully in the wider world and become a protector worthy of everything his family gave him.
