Natsume Yuujinchou

Takashi Natsume has been able to see youkai since childhood, an ability that left him isolated because nobody around him understood what he was experiencing. After moving to the hometown of his late grandmother Reiko, he inherits her Book of Friends, a collection of names taken from youkai she defeated and bound to her command. Natsume has no desire to control them. Instead, he decides to return their names one by one. At his side is Madara, a powerful spirit who usually appears as the round cat Nyanko-sensei and has his own interest in the book. Each encounter draws Natsume deeper into Reiko's past while slowly giving him the human and supernatural connections he once thought impossible.
