Shinseiki Evangelion Movie: Shi to Shinsei

Fifteen years after Second Impact devastated the world, Shinji Ikari is summoned to Tokyo-3 by the father who abandoned him. Instead of a reconciliation, Gendou orders his son to pilot Evangelion Unit-01 against the Angels, mysterious giants whose attacks may trigger another catastrophe. Shinji's battles draw him together with fellow pilots Rei Ayanami and Asuka Langley Soryu while steadily eroding the fragile emotional defenses each of them relies on.

As the Angels fall, the conflict inside NERV becomes more dangerous than the enemies outside. Secrets about the Evangelions, Rei, and the Human Instrumentality Project surface while Shinji's relationships collapse under grief and guilt.
