Hajime Kindaichi's talent for solving impossible crimes is put to use in cases that look familiar at first, but logic quickly gives way to absurdity. Murders, suspicious clues, dramatic deductions, and ominous suspects are compressed into fast-moving mysteries where every convention of a serious detective story is fair game for a joke.

Kindaichi still tries to reach the truth, but with bizarre behavior and ridiculous twists surrounding him, even the sharpest deduction can become the setup for another punchline.
