Akane-banashi

Since childhood, Akane Osaki has watched her father Shinta turn one voice and one body into an entire world through rakugo. At his crucial promotion test for the master rank of shin’uchi, he gives the performance of his life—only for head judge Issho Arakawa to fail him and effectively drive him away from the art he loved.

Six years later, Akane is a high-school student secretly training under Shiguma, her father’s former teacher. When she earns a chance to perform before an audience, she is not simply trying to prove her talent. She intends to reach shin’uchi herself, understand why her father was denied it, and force the rakugo world to hear her story in her own voice.
