Dragon Quest: Dai no Daibouken (2020)

Dai is the only human growing up on Dermline Island, a peaceful home shared by monsters freed from the Demon Lord Hadlar's control after his defeat. Raised by the kindly monster Brass, Dai dreams of becoming a hero like the legendary warriors he admires. That dream stops being childish when Hadlar returns, now serving an even greater Demon Lord, and the hero Avan arrives to train Dai for the coming war. A desperate battle awakens a mysterious power within the boy and sends him away from the island for the first time. Joined by companions who carry their own fears and ambitions, Dai begins a journey to master that power and confront the forces threatening both humans and monsters.
