Seventeen-year-old Sayako Amanokawa dreams of becoming a journalist like the respected reporter Kanemoto. When a false corruption story destroys his reputation and drives him to suicide, Sayako begins seeing spirits and narrowly survives a supernatural encounter that overturns everything she believed about death.
