Paprika

A psychiatric laboratory develops the DC Mini, a small device that allows a therapist to enter another person’s dreams and observe them from within. Dr. Atsuko Chiba secretly uses the technology through the persona “Paprika,” a lively guide who moves through dream worlds with far more freedom than Atsuko’s reserved scientific self.

When unfinished devices are stolen before their safety controls are complete, an unknown user begins invading minds and planting dreams that lead to obsession and breakdown. Soon the border between sleep and waking no longer behaves as it should, and impossible images start leaking into reality. With detective Konakawa, who has been receiving dream therapy, Atsuko enters a pursuit that cannot be contained to one place, because the enemy can escape into any sleeping mind.
