Mononoke

A mysterious Medicine Seller wanders through feudal Japan seeking mononoke, supernatural beings born from powerful human emotions and twisted circumstances. His Exorcism Sword can destroy them, but it will not leave its sheath until he uncovers three things: the spirit's Form, its Truth, and its Reason.

That condition turns every haunting into an investigation of the living as much as the dead. From a room tormented by Zashiki Warashi to other places scarred by jealousy, fear, resentment, and hidden crimes, the Medicine Seller must force painful secrets into the open before the mononoke can be understood and finally cut down.
