Gintama on Theater 2D: Ikkoku Keisei-hen

In Yoshiwara, the elderly courtesan Suzuran is still waiting for a man who once promised to return when the moon was full. A simple wish to learn what became of that promise sends Gintoki, Tsukuyo, and their companions searching for answers, but the trail leads far beyond the pleasure district and into Edo Castle and the buried history of the shogunate.

There they confront former shogun Tokugawa Sadasada, whose rule left a legacy of blood and oppression, along with Oboro and the Naraku assassins protecting old secrets. Fulfilling one woman’s lifelong promise becomes a battle against people determined to erase the past, forcing Gintoki to cut through politics and steel to reach the truth Suzuran has waited decades to hear.
