Karen Kohiruimaki is a shy university student deeply self-conscious about her unusual height, so she searches virtual reality games for an avatar small and cute enough to let her feel comfortable in her own skin. She finally finds one in Gun Gale Online, becoming LLENN, a tiny player dressed in pink who earns a frightening reputation for speed and ambush tactics. After meeting the mysterious and highly skilled Pitohui, LLENN is pushed into Squad Jam, a team battle royale where she has little time to hide behind her new appearance. Between gunfire, alliances, and deception, Karen begins discovering a confidence that has always been much harder to find in the real world.
