Anpanman ga Umareta Hi

Before Anpanman became the hero everyone knows, Uncle Jam was simply baking bread during a stormy night. A mysterious Star of Life descended from the sky and entered the oven, and when the bread was ready, a living child with an anpan-shaped head emerged.

Born with a gentle heart and a desire to help others, the newborn Anpanman soon discovers that his own face can feed someone who is hungry. That first act of kindness points him toward the purpose that will define his life: flying wherever someone needs help and sharing what he has without hesitation.
