Synopsis
When people begin disappearing on the remote Baruru Island, a girl named Megumi asks Kitarou to help find her missing father. His investigation leads him into conflict with Akamata and a group of powerful southern youkai guarding the island's mysterious Water of Life.
Kitarou is stripped of his usual youkai power and forced to drink the strange water, transforming him into a gigantic ancient beast. As the southern youkai carry their attack toward Japan, his friends must find a way to restore Kitarou before the creature he has become causes a disaster of its own.
