Watashi no Ashinaga Ojisan Specials

Judy Abbott has grown up in an orphanage with little reason to imagine a different future. Everything changes when an anonymous wealthy benefactor offers to pay for her education at a prestigious girls' school, asking only that she write him regular letters. Judy knows him only by the long shadow she once glimpsed and gives him a private nickname: Daddy-Long-Legs.

School introduces Judy to friendship, independence, literature, embarrassment, and a world far beyond the orphanage. Through the letters she sends to the mysterious man who never answers directly, she records both her triumphs and frustrations while slowly becoming the confident young woman she once had no chance to be.
