Myeongyi has lived since his youth with pneumothorax, hyperventilation, and coughing fits that made him the center of attention he never wanted at school. While he constantly felt set apart from his classmates, class president Seonho was the one person who treated him with uncomplicated kindness rather than curiosity or pity. Those small gestures became Myeongyi's first love, one he never found the courage to confess.

Nine years later, Myeongyi attends a school reunion for one reason: to see Seonho again. A ring on Seonho's hand seems to extinguish the tiny hope he still carried, and Myeongyi slips outside to escape his disappointment. Seonho unexpectedly follows him.
