Gintama on Theater 2D: Baragaki-hen

When Tetsunosuke Sasaki, the unwanted son of a prestigious family, is forced into the Shinsengumi, Hijikata takes responsibility for the lazy and undisciplined recruit. Tetsunosuke wants to prove he has value, but the presence of his older half-brother Isaburo, commander of the rival Mimawarigumi, turns every mistake into another reason to humiliate him.

The conflict escalates when Tetsunosuke becomes a pawn in a confrontation between the two police forces, forcing Hijikata to face an opponent who knows how to weaponize law, status, and honor. As Gintoki and the Yorozuya become involved, wounds from Hijikata's own past rise to the surface, and protecting this troublesome young recruit becomes a battle over what it truly means to belong to a group that refuses to abandon its own.
