Violet Evergarden

The Great War is over, but Violet Evergarden has no idea how to live in peace. Raised as a weapon who understood orders better than emotions, she lost both arms in the final battle and was left with the last words Major Gilbert spoke to her: 'I love you.' Violet does not understand what those words mean, so she begins working as an Auto Memory Doll, writing letters for people who cannot express their feelings themselves. Through mothers, lovers, soldiers, and families, she discovers that words can carry things no military command could ever measure.
