Ooi! Tonbo

Former professional golfer Kazuyoshi Igarashi arrives on remote Hinoshima Island looking for a fresh start, expecting to find a place far removed from the sport he left behind. Instead, he discovers that the islanders built an entire golf course themselves and meets Tonbo Ooi, a young girl who plays using only a 3-iron as though conventional rules do not apply to her.

Tonbo makes seemingly impossible shots because she learned to read wind, terrain, and sea rather than follow formal training. Kazuyoshi sees extraordinary talent, while Tonbo sees someone trying to impose an unfamiliar world on the game she loves freely. As they spend more time together, his attempts to teach her become a path for both of them to rediscover golf from completely different directions.
