Hitorijime My Hero

Masahiro Setagawa has grown used to being exploited by neighborhood delinquents, convinced that no one is ever going to save him. His life changes when Kousuke Ooshiba, a man feared by the local gangs, steps in and gives Masahiro his first real sense that someone might stand on his side.

A year later they meet again at school, where Kousuke is now his math teacher and the older brother of Masahiro's friend Kensuke. Masahiro's admiration deepens into love, while Kousuke develops a desire to protect him that no longer fits an ordinary teacher-student relationship. At the same time, Kensuke's old friend Hasekura returns with feelings of his own, leaving two friendships and two romances searching for a way to exist despite fear of how others may see them.
