Junk World

More than a thousand years before a later expedition into the underground world, humans and the emancipated Mulligan clones maintain a fragile peace after a long war. For the first time in 150 years, they send a joint mission to investigate an unknown anomaly beneath the surface. Human commander Triss leads the expedition with her robotic protector Robin, while the original clone Dante joins from the Mulligan side.

An attack on the expedition reveals that the anomaly is not merely local: a dimensional rupture begins distorting space and time itself. Old hostility between humans and Mulligans makes cooperation difficult, but survival demands that they move beyond that history before the rift becomes a catastrophe far larger than one underground city. In a world already filled with strange life, Robin finds himself protecting a mission that has become much more than an investigation.
