Mira is the brilliant strategist behind an evil organization that invades cities and destroys whatever stands in its way, a man accustomed to treating enemies as problems requiring efficient solutions. Then magical girl Byakuya Mimori appears to oppose the organization, and all of Mira's logic collapses the moment he sees her.

He falls in love with his enemy at first sight. Mira is supposed to defeat Byakuya, yet he becomes more concerned about her exhaustion and poverty than about advancing evil, while she continues taking her duty seriously. Every confrontation begins as a clash between good and villainy and often ends with Mira desperately hiding the fact that he would rather protect the magical girl he is meant to destroy.
