Aharen-san wa Hakarenai

Reina Aharen has an unusual problem with distance: she is either far too withdrawn or unexpectedly close. Her seatmate Raidou first notices that her voice is almost impossible to hear, and returning one lost eraser somehow turns him into the person she spends nearly every break with. Neither student is good at reading social cues. Aharen misjudges personal space, while Raidou answers every unusual behavior with an elaborate theory delivered in complete seriousness. Through lunches, games, studying, and walks home, the two settle into a rhythm that looks baffling from the outside but quickly becomes the most natural part of their day.
